Unique event held annually on the last Saturday in January in conjunction with the official National Eagle Census Day to count the number of wintering Eagles on the Illinois River between Pekin and Havana. Event includes wildlife coloring contest for students, bus tours to view Eagles on the waterfront, World Bird Sanctuary "Live Raptor Presentation," "Birds of Prey" show by Wildlife Prairie Park, and master storyteller. A family event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Union Mission Center, 203 Court Street in Downtown Pekin.
